Inflation: at the dicrotic notch, with a sharp V and strong diastolic augmentation.
Deflation: immediately before systolic ejection.
Typical goal: diastolic augmentation ideally above unassisted systole, with lower assisted end-diastolic and systolic pressures.

Compare the ECG, arterial pressure, and balloon pressure traces. Identify how inflation or deflation timing changes the assisted arterial waveform.
